Blogging on Blogging

For the past few weeks, we've been learning about spreadsheets. There are different kinds of spreadsheets and they all work differently. It is very important that you follow the instructions carefully, otherwise you won't get the answer you want.

We learned that a cell can contain a label, value, or formula.

A cell that contains words is called a label.
A cell that contains numbers is called a value.
In order for it to be considered a formula, it MUST include an = sign (equal sign).

Some of you may have found this unit pretty easy, while the others found it pretty difficult. However, don't forget to STUDY for the math test tomorrow! Goodluck everyone.

You are very lucky to be learning about spreadsheets. This is my third year in University and is the very first time I've worked with them! I'm sure if I was in your class I would have found the topic quite difficult, how did you find it? Do you think you will use spreadsheets out of the classroom & if so, what for?

That is great that you are learning about spreadsheets. We just used them in our computer class too! We figured out a budget for a month of a University student. It was a really easy tool, but your right you do have to follow directions carefully. Do you think you will use spreadsheets to do a budget or what about to figure out your marks? I found that using a spreadsheet to figure out my final mark was very simple and easy! Try it out.
