Blogging on Blogging

This is my BOB. I'm not sure whether we're supposed to answer all the questions or not, so here I go. I think everyone will agree with me when I say that the rapid math tricks we've learned have made math a lot easier. Knowing me, I am not good at mental math but thankfully Mr.Kuropatwa taught us the 'shortcut'. One of the things I found difficult at the beginning was keeping "track of time" only because I wasn't sure what it meant by "quarter" of an hour and so forth. I get it now because I kind of looked at it the way I would look at money, because a quarter of a dollar is $0.75, and a quarter of an hour is .75 also. This is the end of my blog, enjoy!

That's great that you like using the tricks to math. When I was in school I had a hard time with mental math too. I still use the tricks today. I also liked the way you related time to money, I never thought of it that way before. It is way easier if you connect something that you know really well to something that you don't know to learn how to do it.

Hey Jenna. It's awesome that the tricks you are learning in class are helping you out in math. I still use little tricks like that all the time to make things easier. I noticed you guys are doing a lot of mental math too. We used to practice that in high school and it still makes my math problems go way faster! Keep practicing because the more you use the stuff you're learning, the easier it will become and you'll find that you use it more and more in life. You wont always have a calculator with you, but math problems will jump out at you everyday!
